Milos - I' m on a boat!

That boat life… it is beautiful. This is the one thing you just have to do when in Milos; do a day trip around the island by boat. You just sit on that boat, eat cookies and fruit and think about something deep :D I ’ m still dreaming of those juicy peaches, in Great Britain peaches taste like paper. The only comparably good peaches I have eaten were in Bulgaria, where I will hopefully go soon. Anyways, there are still two last posts about Milos coming up! TSo stay tuned and have a lovely weekend! Almost;-)

Milos - Greek evenings

There is something special about summer nights in Mediterranean countries. Though they don’t necessarily come with spectacular sunsets like in Finland, but they are somewhat cozy and peaceful. After dinner I loved strolling through the little shops which were all open until late to look at the locally manufactured jewellery and dresses. Also, there was this little street kitten, which I failed to take a picture of…it was very undernourished so I started feeding it. And needless to say, from that moment on it would just follow me everywhere. In any way, Adamas, the village where all those pictures were taken, is definitely the best place to stay in Milos. That’s it for today, have a lovely week! xx

Milos - White on white

Jesus forgive me. I took pictures in a bathing suit and posted them online. Having said that, this beach - named Sarakiniko Beach, located in Milos, Greece - is one of the most photogenic beaches on this planet. It doesn’t take much skill or an expensive camera to get great pictures there…the light, the background, it is all flawless. So if there is ever a perfect place to pose in swimwear, it’s Sarakiniko Beach. Personally I went there to do snorkelling which is my new favourite thing ever since I tried it at Virgin Islands last summer. I love watching little fish in their natural habitat and also the underwater landscape. I flew to Milos for my annual summer holidays. In my upcoming posts I will go into more detail about pros and cons about this place, for now I will leave it at that:) Enjoy your sunday afternoon <3

Finland - Lifestyle

And here comes Part 2: Finnish lifestyle during summer. Finnish people are obsessed with this black candy which doesn’t really deserve the term “candy” since it’s bitter and salty. In German we call it “Lakritz” (english: liquorice) and nobody likes it. But luckily they also produce other candy without liquorice and that kind is simply amazing. I’ m talking about these long tube things in different colours…I think Jesus Christ came personally down from heaven to create them. Other than that, salmon is a big favourite in Finland which probably doesnt come as a surprise. That salmon cream soup on one of the last pictures was absolutely fantastic, definitely something you should try if you ever happen to be in Helsinki. I also loved strolling through one of Helsinki’s many markets which feature all sorts of home made things and great street food. All in all, I loved Finland and I can’ t wait to go back there…maybe in Winter. I still haven’t seen the Northern lights which is and always has been Nr1 on my bucket list. On that note, see you soon Finland.
