Vor einer Woche war ich endlich mal wieder zuhause. Ich habe den Flug ganz spontan gebucht, ich hatte irgendwie Heimweh;-) Am Sonntag haben meine Eltern, meine Oma und ich einen kleinen Ausflug ins Museum gemacht. Wir waren erst in einer Picasso Austellung und anschließend bei Mao Thai, einem thailändischen Restaurant im Prenzlauer Berg. Das ist das Lieblingsrestaurant meiner Eltern und wirklich zu empfehlen. Meine Mama hat die meisten Fotos gemacht, deswegen ist sie leider nicht drauf. Übrigens, bald gibt es eine neue Episode von INA TV, wie immer auf

//About a week ago I finally went back home again. I booked the flight very spontaneously because frankly, I felt a bit homesick ;-) On sunday, my parents, my grandma and me took a trip to the museum. First we went to a Picasso exhibition and after that we had lunch at “Mao Thai”, a thai restaurant situated in Prenzlauer Berg, which is kind of the hipster part of Berlin. Mao Thai is my parents´s favourite restaurant and I can really recommend it. My mum took most of the pictures, therefore she is unfortunately not on them. Hier ein paar Bilder vom diesjährigen “Songwriting Retreat”, quasi einem 7-tägigen Workshop in dem man in unterschiedlichen Gruppen jeden Tag zusammen ein neues Lied erarbeitet. Das Ganze findet traditonell in Andalusien statt (das Leben ist hart!). Wer dem Blog schon lange folgt, wird sehen, dass ich das letztes Jahr auch schon gemacht habe. Der Grund warum ich mich auch dieses Jahr wieder dazu entschlossen habe, ist, dass man dort viele talentierte Leute trifft, die oftmals ganz andere Ansätze zum Thema Songwriting haben als man selber. Und ich finde immer, je mehr unterschiedliche Zutaten man in den Top wirft, desto interessanter und einzigartiger wird das Resultat. Meiner Meinung nach ist das eine der wichtigsten Eigenschaften eines Liedes; es muss interessant sein und irgendwie anders als das was man schon 1000 mal im Radio gehört hat.
Übrigens: am Ende dieses Monats kommt eine neue Episode von INA TV.... ;-)

//Here are a couple of pictures from this year´s songwriting retreat, which is basically a seven day workshop where you get together in different groups each day and write a song as a group. This whole thing takes place in Andalusia (life is hard!). Those who have been following this blog for a while probably know that I´ve been on one of those retreats last years as well. the reason why I decided to participate again was because you usually meet a lot of very talented people there who oftentimes have very different approaches and styles with regards to songwriting. I peronally believe that the more different the ingredients, the more interesting and unique the result will be. And in my opinion, if you have a song that is interesting and surprises you at times, you´re already half way there.
By the way, by the end of this month I will publish a new episode of INA TV...:-)

Anfang diesen Monats haben wir Aprils Geburtstag gefeiert. Der eigene Geburtstag ist ja für viele Leute nicht unbedingt Grund zur Begeisterung, April hingegen hat den ganzen Tag nur gestrahlt. Nichts konnte die Stimmung drücken, wirklich gar nichts. Faszinierend. Wir haben dann auf Aprils Wunsch den Tag im Zoo verbracht. Ich bin eigentlich kein großer Fan von Zoos, viele der Tiere haben auch irgendwie traurig geguckt. Aber zumindest hatte ich viele interessante Objekte zum fotografieren. Habt noch eine schöne Woche! :-)
//Earlier this month we celebrated my flat mate April´s Birthday. Whilst some people have a problem with celebrating the fact that they´re getting older, April was smiling the whole day. Nothing could destroy her mood, absolutely nothing. It was beautiful.
April decided to celebrate her birthday at the London Zoo. I´m actually not a massive fan of zoos, many of the animals also had kind of a sad look in their faces. But at least I had many interesting objects to photograph. Have a great week everyone! :-)
Wenn man 1,64 groß ist und familienintern als “Furchendackel” bezeichnet wird, dann braucht man sich in der Regel keine Sorgen machen, als Laufsteg Model rekrutiert zu werden. Ich bin aber trotzdem zum Casting gegangen, a) weil der Job sehr gut bezahlt war und b) da ich, wie auch meine Mutter, unter einer gesunden Portion Selbstüberschätzung leide. Allerdings scheinen die Scouts von Fashion TV, einem internationalen “Fashion & Lifestyle” mit 400 Millionen Zuschauern weltweit, einen toleranten Tag gehabt zu haben und haben mich, ungeachtet der Tatsache, dass ich mindestens zwei Köpfe kleiner war als der Rest der Mädels, für die Show gebucht. Mein Make Up habe ich übrigens selbst gemacht. Als die erste Dame wie ein Zombie aus der Maske kam habe ich mir gedacht: okay, Notfallplan! Habe das dann intern mit der Visagistin klar gemacht, dass ich mich selbser schminken darf. Generell habe ich keinerlei Intentionen als Model irgendwas zu reißen, ich mache das nur aus finanziellen Gründen. Allerdings habe ich jetzt eine neue und noch lukrativere Einahmequelle entdeckt (hat mit Musik zu tun, aber dazu später mehr ;), das heißt vielleicht war das das erste und letzte Mal:))

//When you´re 1.64 m tall your family members occasionally refer to you as a sausage dog, you usually don´t have to worry about being recruited as a catwalk model. But given my sophmoric tendencies, I still went to the casting, especially because the job was very well paid. Luckily for me, the Fashion TV scouts (Fashion TV is an international fashion and lifestyle TV channel with about 400 million viewers worldwide) seemed to have had a tolerant day and hired me, despite the fact that I was at least two heads smaller than the rest of the girls. By the way, I did my make-up myelf. After the first girl had her make up done, looking literarly like a zombie, I thought to myself: no way, I need an emergency plan. I then negociated with the make-up artist that I could do my make-up myself. Generally, I don´t have intentions to achieve anything in the modelling industry, I do it purely for financial reasons. I however discovered an even more lucrative way of getting money (music related, I´ll tell you more about it later;), that means maybe this was the my first and last project in this field..;)

Hallo Hasis! Wie angekündigt, gibt es heute einen kleinen Einblick in meine neue “Lebenssituation” in London;-)
Ich wohne in West London in einem relativ noblen Viertel zusammen mit meiner Freundin April. April, welche ich liebevoll umbenannt habe in "APY", ist auch Singer-Songwriter und ich bin einer ihrer größten Fans ;-)) Wir hatten wirklich Glück mit der Wohnung, sie ist hell und nur ca 30 Sekunden von der nächsten Metro (Tube) Station entfernt. Ich habe ein ziemlich großes Zimmer mit Blick auf einen Park welcher besonders jetzt im Frühling regelrecht “in Schönheit erstrahlt”;D
Ich habe auch ein paar Bilder von meinen zubereiteten Mahlzeiten eingefügt, diese dienen hauptsächlich dazu, meine Mama und Oma zu beruhigen. Beide denken, dass ich in London hungere weil ich zu faul bin zum Kochen. Weit gefehlt! :-D Meistens… Wie auch immer, ich hoffe ihr habt alle einen guten Start in die neue Woche! Alles Liebe <3 //Hey cuties! As promised, here is a little insight into my new “life situation” in London:-) I live in west London, in a relatively posh area with my friend April. April, which I lovingly renamed "Apy", is also a singer-songwriter and I am one of her biggest fans ;-)) We were lucky with the flat given that it has a lot of light and it´s only 30 seconds away from the next tube station. I have quite a big room from where you have a beautiful view on the park which is beautifully blossoming these days. I also added a few pictures of the meals that I prepared, which really just serves the purpose of calming down my mother and grandmother who are of the opinion that I´m never cooking due to laziness. But as we see here: that couldn´t be further from the truth! :-D Most of the time.. Anyways, I hope you´re all having a pleasant start to your week. Lots of love <3
